Bilingual (French and English) Test Centre Administrator and Speaking Examiner -Hybrid Position

This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a new French language testing program at an established language centre. The position will be approximately 50% administrative responsibilities in both English and French and 50% French Language Examiner duties in which you will be delivering a standardized oral test to adults. You will be required to take a short training program followed by an assessment to ensure your competence for the Examiner portion of the role. This is an on-site role casual role that will quickly expand.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day administrative duties related to the running of both French and English language tests.
• Provide a superior customer-service experience to stakeholders via email, Livechat and in-person.
• Administer computer-delivered French and English tests.
• Conduct computer-lab update and maintenance duties to ensure tests run smoothly.
• Liaise with relevant internal and external teams to help ensure tests run smoothly, sales opportunities are maximized and the centre projects a positive image.

French Language Testing Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face French language oral exams consistently to standard.
• Assess test takers’ oral language competence according to prescribed criteria and scales.
• Maintain French examiner status by engaging in required training and monitoring activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Education, French Language Teaching, or related field
• Official qualification in FLE (teaching French as a foreign language)
• At least 3 years' experience teaching French
• At least one year of customer-service experience in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills

• Above average proficiency in French (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
• Comfort working with computer-delivered testing and trouble-shooting minor computer issues
• Above average customer-service skills
• Comfort using main applications of Office 365
