  • Consolidate customer demand inputs from Sales and Customer Service into a clear, prioritized operating plan

  • Translate supplier/vendor price movements into customer-facing pricing strategies in partnership with Sales
  • Reduce manual, ad hoc pricing dependency on individuals by building repeatable pricing logic and tools

Purchasing & Supply Coordination

  • Initiate formal purchasing discipline, visibility, and forecasting for raw materials and finished goods
  • Partner with operations and inventory stakeholders to ensure timely purchasing decisions
  • Reduce bottlenecks and decision latency caused by unclear ownership or informal escalation paths
  • Create transparency into vendor lead times, constraints, and risk exposure

Analytics, Reporting & Business Insight

  • Partner with Finance to ensure alignment
  • Develop and own KPIs and management dashboards, including but not limited to:
    • Forecast accuracy
    • Inventory turns and aging
    • Service levels / fill rates
    • Capacity utilization
    • Pricing and margin trends
  • Translate complex operational data into concise, actionable insights for leadership

Process Improvement & Change Leadership

  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and points of failure across the order-to-delivery lifecycle
  • Act as a change agent, driving adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Champion higher-level thinking, continuous improvement, and future-state capability building
  • Explore and implement progressive tools (automation, advanced Excel, BI tools, AI-assisted analysis)

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 5–8+ years in business operations, supply chain, purchasing, customer service or commercial planning roles
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Strong analytical capability; advanced proficiency in Excel and business analytics tools
  • Proven experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commodities, oils, chemicals, lubricants, or price-volatile environments
  • Exposure to ERP systems, forecasting tools, or BI platforms
  • Forward-looking mindset with interest in automation and AI-enabled decision support

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Improved visibility into demand, inventory, and capacity
  • Faster, clearer pricing and purchasing decisions
