At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range for this position is $32.57 – $48.40, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

Position Summary: Respiratory Therapist RRT Full-time, 32 Hours per Week. Varied Schedule. Methuen campus

6am to 2 pm twice per week

10pm to 6 am twice per week

A Respiratory Therapist (RT) is a professional member of the healthcare team who provides skilled respiratory care to newborns through geriatrics under the direction/orders of a physician. The RT assists in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases and related disorders in a professional and competent manner. RT participates in providing patient and family education. The RT may assess a patient’s respiratory status and recommend appropriate therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform the following:
• ABG machine,
• Ventilator management,
• EKGs & EEGs Chest PT,
• Arterial punctures
• Pulmonary Functions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a Certificate of Completion from an AMA accredited program in Respiratory care is required.
• Certification/Licensure:
  • MA Respiratory Care licensure, including 261 CMR 5.00 Continuing Education Requirement. (Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), or Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT))
  • Current BLS, and ACLS preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• Software/Hardware: Experience with Meditech is preferred.
