RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Accurately enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system and maintain complete, up-to-date records.
- Prepare medications for dispensing, including counting, labeling, packaging, and restocking inventory.
- Support inventory management by receiving, organizing, and tracking medications and supplies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with compliance activities, including 340B program support as assigned.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to patients, including answering phones and directing questions appropriately.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, nursing staff, and other care team members to support integrated patient care.
- Assist with routine audits, quality assurance activities, and reporting as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy work environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current registration with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee preferred.
- National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA preferred
- Experience in a retail, hospital, or clinic-based pharmacy setting preferred but not required.
