Job Description
Description: As a surgical services team member, the sterile processing technician performs a variety of duties to prepare the operation room and the patient for surgery, using appropriate techniques, as well as providing instruments, packs, etc. to the other areas of the hospital and clinic.
Responsibilities: Interact with patients, families, visitors, and coworkers. Collaborates with other staff to provide instrumentation as needed. Demonstrates proper documentation and a clear understanding of all sterilization control measures. Anticipates departmental needs and other unit needs. Delivers instruments to departments in a timely manner. Maintains a positive mindset.
Requirements:
High school diploma
Reach hospital within 1 hour for on-call shifts
Licenses/certifications:
BLS within 30 days of hire
CRCST certification desired
