Job Overview:

Trinitas Regional Medical Center is looking to add an intern for the their Child/Adolescent Psych department in Elizabeth, NJ.

Qualifications:

  • Currently in an APA approved psychology program and applied through the APPIC Match process

Scheduling Requirements

  • Full-Time
  • 40 hours per week
  • The internship requires 12 months of work across the AOPU, CAOPU, DBT units and 2 6- month specialized rotations on APH, CPH, Residential, Wellness Management for a minimum total of the following:
  • Client contact hours including individual, group, intakes, and psychological testing 1000 hours
  • Supervision 200 hours
  • Work related activities 550 hours
  • Seminars 96 hours

Essential Functions:

  • Specific client contacts types vary based on intern rotations and specializations
  • EMR treatment planning for assigned individual and group clients
  • Completing EMR paperwork for individual sessions, intakes, groups
  • Conducting individual therapy
  • Conducting group therapy
  • Conducting psychological testing
  • Case management when necessary
  • A/V recording of sessions for supervision
  • Attending required supervision and seminar
