Warfighter Support Services (WFSS) is a rapidly growing DoD-focused 8(a) Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) supporting complex defense training and operational programs nationwide.
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Contracts to serve as the company’s senior contractual authority across our Department of Defense portfolio.
This is an executive-level role for a seasoned Federal contracts professional who operates independently, understands the rules of Government contracting deeply, and can confidently navigate Prime/Subcontractor environments.
Position OverviewThe Senior Manager of Contracts will serve as the principal contracts authority for the organization, ensuring full FAR/DFARS compliance, protecting company interests, and advising executive leadership on contractual risk and strategy.
This individual must possess 10–20 years of progressive Federal contracting experience and demonstrate advanced working knowledge of DoD contract structures.
This role requires independent judgment, executive presence, and deep technical expertise in Federal acquisition regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead cradle-to-grave administration of DoD Prime and Subcontracts.
Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and agency supplements.
Serve as primary contractual interface with Prime contractors.
Review and negotiate contract modifications, option year exercises, and funding increments.
Monitor Limitation of Funds and funding ceilings.
Oversee compliance under T&M, CPFF, and FFP contract structures.
Review ROMs, pricing structures, labor category mapping, and rate applications.
Ensure billing compliance and audit readiness.
Maintain comprehensive, well-documented contract files.
Protect proprietary processes and enforce data rights boundaries.
Advise executive leadership on contractual risk and mitigation strategies.
Draft formal contractual correspondence and position statements as needed.
10–20 years of progressive Federal Government contracting experience.
Significant DoD contract experience (Prime and/or Subcontract environment).
Advanced working knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
Demonstrated experience with T&M, CPFF, and FFP contract types.
Experience negotiating with large Prime contractors.
Ability to operate independently and provide executive-level guidance.
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Contracts, or related field).
NCMA Certification (CPCM strongly preferred).
Experience with GSA contract vehicles (ASTRO, OASIS+, etc.).
SBA 8(a) and WOSB compliance experience.
Experience in audit-intensive, high-visibility defense programs.
Deep technical knowledge of Federal contracting regulations
