About This Position
Summary
The manager is responsible for implementation and supervision of the technical, administrative, operational, and associated activities within the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The incumbent manages co-workers and all other resources within the department to ensure the delivery of cost effective, quality care. Assures the quality and customer service standards and objectives are met. Responsible for assuring that all department specific policies, programs, and procedures are compatible with the department goals and objectives. Operates within the "Standards of Ethics" of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the "Clinical Practice Standards" established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT) or other licensing organization. Promotes radiation protection for the patient, technologist and any one else in the area, utilizing PPE and other guidelines as needed. Recognizes emergent situations and activates assistance as needed. Adheres to Parkview Standards of Behavior. Must be able to cover call if applicable.
Education
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, health science(s), or a medical related field, unless hired into a Radiology/Imaging manager role within Parkview before 2/1/2019.
Licensure/Certification
Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Encourage advanced certification if applicable) or other modality registration. Licensed with the State Board of Health.
Experience
Must have minimum of three - five years of supervisory experience. Must have minimum of seven years of clinical experience and demonstrated knowledge of Radiology procedures.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to lift 75 lbs., 150 lbs. shared lifting. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Must be able to take call. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
