Position Summary

We are seeking a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Women’s Health care team. This role provides comprehensive outpatient women’s health services, including gynecologic and obstetrical care, while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver patient centered, evidence based care.

This position plays a key role in supporting TFHC’s Women’s Health services and improving access to high quality care for an underserved patient population.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive women’s health care including well woman exams, acute visits, family planning, and gynecologic services

  • Deliver evidence based obstetrical care in an outpatient setting

  • Perform gynecologic procedures including colposcopy, biopsies, and long acting reversible contraception device insertion

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation

  • Prepare billing charges and complete clinical tasks in accordance with organizational policies

  • Make appropriate referrals for diagnostic testing, specialty care, treatment, and follow up

  • Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff and medical assistants

  • Participate in peer review, accreditation readiness, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Supervise and teach residents, medical students, and allied health professionals as applicable

  • Coordinate clinical workflows within the Women’s Health department and collaborate with providers across the organization

  • Participate in after hours coverage as assigned

  • Communicate with patients and staff in a courteous and professional manner

  • Exercise sound clinical judgment and adhere to established clinical protocols

Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

  • Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner certification required

  • Active and unrestricted Florida APRN license

  • Current BLS certification

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant outpatient OB or GYN clinical experience

  • Bilingual skills preferred

  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office

Loan Repayment & Financial Support

This position is eligible for the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. Qualifying Nurse Practitioners may receive up to $75,000 in student loan repayment for a full-time commitment, with opportunities for additional loan repayment through extended service, based on program eligibility and availability.
