Assistant Infection Control Nurse in Thomaston, Georgia at Upson Regional Medical Center

The Assistant Infection Control Nurse is responsible for supporting the Director of Infection Control with patient surveillance, including reporting notifiable diseases to the Department of Public Health, daily review of patient records to ensure infection control safety standards are being followed, assist the infection control director with environmental rounds, and help with tracking hand hygiene compliance. This role also helps to support the employee health nurse as needed for onboarding education, vaccine clinics, and the annual skills fair.

This is a part-time position averaging around 32 hours per week. Flexible scheduling

Minimum Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited RN or LPN diploma program, current RN or LPN license in the State of GA, at least TWO years’ experience in an acute hospital care setting. BLS certification.

Preferred but not required: Infection Control Experience
