Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator

Starting Salary Range: $46,378 - $54,562
Job Summary:
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the Church Health volunteer and intern programs. This position partners with the Development team to assist in planning and delivery of fundraising and donor recruiting events. Additionally, this role coordinates and supervises all aspects of the yearly Christmas Card Program in partnership with Communications and Development Staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partner with additional Church Health staff to recruit medical and non-medical volunteers; Coordinate the onboarding and orientation of all new, non-medical, volunteers and interns; Maintain ongoing volunteer relationship building and appreciation.
- Coordinate Internship program; Recruit, onboard, and orient new interns for Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions; Partner with Church Health Managers regarding intern selection processes, deadlines, training and orientation.
- Coordinate and supervise yearly planning and implementation of Christmas Card Program including year-long committee meetings, year-long card list updates, and supply ordering; Partner with Communications & Development teams regarding mailing lists, promotions and artwork; Recruit, coordinate, and supervise volunteers for in season card writing, checking, stamping, sealing.
- Coordinate provider relationships and scheduling for Volunteer Evening Clinic.
- Coordinate the collection of volunteer hours and generation of volunteer reports for internal use and external publication.
- Partner with Church Health staff to assist in developing volunteer positions and volunteer group projects for various departments.
- Develop and conduct internal and external volunteer recognition activities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to lead volunteers and large volunteer groups.
- Ability to analyze volunteer and intern job requirements and determine intern/volunteer skills and performance.
- Ability to train and provide instruction to others.
- Ability to communicate effectively both oral/written with a broad base of clientele (college interns, volunteers, university staff, donors, event managers, vendors).
- High level organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities on varying timelines.
- Moderate level of desktop computer skills to include the O365 productivity software suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor's Degree: A four-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work is frequently active in nature and requires the ability to frequently move around a large workspace on multiple floors. Requires some amount of computer work and hand dexterity and the ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on a regular basis.
