Warehouse Operations Intern at RIX INDUSTRIES – Sparks, Nevada

Position Summary

The Warehouse Operations Intern will assist in the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. They will support the team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, participate in cycle counts and assist with stock replenishment and collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through various warehouse departments such as order fulfillment, shipping, operations, inventory control, and facilities to build practical experience.
• Develop leadership skills by learning how to manage and motivate warehouse teams effectively.
• Collaborate on special projects under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
• Contribute to daily warehouse operations, including tasks like picking, packing, and inventory management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a third-year student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• Strong interest in warehouse operations, logistics, and team leadership
• Eager to learn in a hands-on environment and take initiative on tasks and projects
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate in a team setting
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and willingness to learn warehouse software systems.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15.

Physical Requirements

1. This position is regularly exposed to the following conditions:

• Manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
• While working near moving equipment, mechanical parts and lift trucks; must have the ability to follow safe operating procedures.
• May be exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals.

1. Must have the following physical abilities:

• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
