Cash Application Specialist in Rushville, Indiana at Fraley and Schilling Inc.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cash Application Specialist position will participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily processing and application of customer payments

• Receive, record and deposit cash, checks and vouchers

• Verify signatures and required information on checks

• Maintain financial or account records

• Code documents according to company procedures

• Verify accuracy of billing data and notify billing and rating support team of discrepancies

• Research issues related to unidentified payments

• Process adjustments related to cash posting discrepancies

• Contact customers to obtain or relay account information

• Operate typing, adding, calculating or billing machines

• Reconcile records of sales or other financial transactions

• Perform general administrative tasks such as; answering phones, scheduling appointments and ordering supplies

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced skills with Excel including pivot tables and functions

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Conflict resolution skills with a positive attitude

• Strong skill base and comfort with technology including; Microsoft Great Plains and Google Suite

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous office experience preferred

• Previous accounting/billing experience preferred
