Essential Functions
• Interprets technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots faulty wiring.
• Runs tests on generators and other backup systems.
• Checks for and deploy upgrades of electrical components.
• Documents problems and prepares reports.
• Facilitates order of needed electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints.
• Use a variety of tools and techniques to repair and maintain electrical systems.
• Use your knowledge to determine the best way to install new electrical systems.
• Answer any questions that our customers may have about their electrical systems and components.
• Ensure that you follow all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Formal electrician training
• Ability to use a wide variety of electrician tools and techniques.
• Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Relevant hands-on experience preferred.
• Electrician license or certification
• In-depth knowledge of electrical principles, construction, wiring schematics
• Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety standards
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Five years experience in electrical field

Work Environment
• Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around electrical power lines, outside and inside.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Frequent district-wide travel.
