About This Position

Summit’s Texas Title Examiner will play the critical role of providing fast, accurate delivery of real estate services and products to our customers in accordance with Texas policies and procedures. The examiner's role is to keep the real estate process moving, while also providing answers to any product or service-related questions from clients and consumers. We are looking for an individual who is great at multi-tasking and enjoys providing excellent customer service while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment!

Requirements:

  • 1-year minimum experience in a TX title insurance role
  • Knowledge of Texas-specific regulatory requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review title commitments for delivery.
  • Retrieve document images from title plants and other sources.
  • Analyze mortgages, liens, judgements, and easements provided by the abstractor.
  • Order, prepare, and review legal documents related to real estate transactions, including but not limited to deeds, affidavits, releases, trust agreements, divorce decrees, death certificates, and other documents.
  • Ensure all documents comply with applicable laws, lender requirements, and underwriting standards.
  • Review legal descriptions and surveys to identify issues that may affect title.
  • Liaise with lenders, attorneys, government offices, and other third parties to collect documentation and confirm information.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in company's title/escrow software system, ResWare.
  • Follow up with vendors and workshare partners on outstanding deliverables (e.g., search packages, commitments, policies).
  • Communicate with insuring underwriters for guidance.
  • Ensure response times to emails/phone calls are in adherence with Company and Department SLS (Service Level Standards).
  • Follow outlined company compliance guidelines.
  • Manage varying client expectations and requirements.
  • Complete duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
