Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist in Bolivar, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist join our team in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

• Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
• Work Shift: Evenings
• Hours: 11am-8:30pm or 2pm-12:30am

What Your Day Looks Like: In this role, you will perform laboratory tests necessary for diagnosis and treatment of Hospital inpatients and outpatients in an accurate and timely manner.

As a Lab Assistant, you will be:

• Verifying patients’ identities and accurately entering this information into the computer system
• Explaining the sample collection process to patients and answering any questions they may have
• Following safe hygiene rules and following chain of custody protocols
• Performing receptionist duties such as greeting and directing patients and performing filing tasks as needed
• Completing cleaning, stocking, and sanitation tasks according to standardized regulations

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months on-the-job training in phlebotomy
• Skills/Experience: One year or more experience performing phlebotomy dulies is preferred
• Licensure/Certification: Friends and Family CPR within 6 months of employment
• Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance, and ability to perform duties requiring good vision and hand coordination
