Parkview Behavioral Health Inpatient Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS)

At Parkview Behavioral Health (PBH), Behavioral Health Specialists play an important role in supporting patients during crises, building therapeutic relationships, and helping individuals develop the skills needed for recovery.
PBH is located at 1720 Beacon Street and consists of four adult units totaling 55 beds and one youth unit with 34 beds. We provide acute inpatient care for patients experiencing behavioral health crises, with typical lengths of stay ranging from three to seven days.

Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Specialist provides direct patient care and support in an acute inpatient behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, facilitating groups, monitoring and documenting patient behaviors, supporting crisis interventions, and assisting with treatment and discharge planning. This role works closely with the multidisciplinary team to help patients achieve positive outcomes and successfully transition to the next level of care.
Education
Bachelor's degree in psychology, human services, or related field.
Licensure/Certification
If assigned to drive company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required. If assigned to drive personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required in addition to a valid driver’s license. CPR required within 60 days; and CPI required within 90 days.
Experience
1 year, will consider other relevant experience.
Other Qualifications
Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds.
