Job Description

Manager, Commercial Planning

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, Commercial Planning in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, data analytics, and airport operations, shaping how passenger experience translates into non-aeronautical revenue. You will work across a network of airports to design and optimize concession strategies spanning retail, food and beverage, and passenger services. By combining data-driven insight with commercial planning expertise, you will influence how terminal spaces are allocated and how commercial ecosystems are structured. The role requires close collaboration with planners, operators, and commercial teams to ensure layouts and leasing strategies align with both financial goals and traveler experience. Acting as both strategist and hands-on operator, you will support advisory projects, leasing execution, and revenue growth initiatives. This is a high-impact position suited for someone who enjoys solving complex, cross-functional problems in dynamic infrastructure environments.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will drive commercial planning and advisory initiatives that improve airport revenue performance and optimize passenger-facing commercial environments.

  • Analyze passenger flow, dwell time, and spending data to inform concession strategies across retail, food and beverage, and services
  • Support long-term commercial planning aligned with airport expansions, traffic forecasts, and infrastructure development
  • Contribute to non-aeronautical revenue growth through optimized commercial strategies across airport networks
  • Define space requirements and allocation strategies based on operational data and terminal design considerations
  • Collaborate with architects, planners, and operations teams to design efficient and high-performing commercial layouts
  • Support the full leasing lifecycle including RFP development, contract execution, and portfolio tracking
  • Monitor lease performance, expirations, and commercial outcomes to identify risks and opportunities
  • Lead and support commercial advisory projects, delivering actionable insights to senior stakeholders and clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development and growth initiatives
Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical ability with commercial thinking and experience in structured, client-facing environments such as consulting, aviation, or infrastructure.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, strategy, operations, architecture, planning, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, commercial strategy, consulting, or airport-related roles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence presenting to senior leadership and clients
  • Strong organizational skills, self-direction, and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Curiosity-driven mindset with comfort operating in ambiguous, complex environments
  • Bonus: exposure to aviation, infrastructure, leasing, or concession-based commercial models
  • Bonus: MBA or advanced degree in aviation, business, or architecture
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $107,500–$120,000 USD
  • Hybrid/remote flexibility with preference for candidates near operating locations
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale airport and infrastructure transformation projects
  • Exposure to complex, high-impact commercial and advisory work across multiple airports
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment spanning strategy, operations, and design teams
  • Strong focus on professional development and learning in a global infrastructure setting
  • Inclusive workplace culture that values diverse perspectives and backgrounds
