EV Local Driver in Eagleville, Tennessee at Crosslin Trucking LLC

We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to join Crosslin Trucking’s team. This is a full-time position. This position is responsible for transporting lumber material to job sites and driving a truck-mounted Moffett forklift to unload the lumber at the job site. The driver must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with customers/dispatch. You must have a current valid Class A CDL, current medical certification card and a clean driving record. Class A CDL Truck Driver must be able to work independently and possess time management skills.

Responsibilities:

· Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner

· Organizing and securing the cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle; ensuring each load is properly strapped for transportation.

· Drive a delivery truck on a predetermined route and schedule; deliver items as instructed

· Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations

· Abide by traffic laws, ensuring safe unlading and delivery to the destination.

· Ensure delivery trucks are clean and in good working condition; perform daily required maintenance checks and report any malfunctions to Supervisor, ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving

Other Skills & Experience:

· Must have at least 2 years of experience

· Ability to communicate and engage with people from various cultures and backgrounds.

· Interact with customers and fellow employees in a professional and courteous manner.

· Great attention to detail

· Ability to operate material handling equipment: forklifts and truck mounted Moffett forklifts

Physical Demands:

· Ability to sit or stand for lengthy periods of time, and lift up to 75 pounds

· Ability to reach over-head to grasp materials, bend, stoop, or squat to the floor on a regular basis

· Perform duties in all weather conditions

Attendance:

Good attendance is required. Monday – Friday schedules with available overtime.

Requirements / Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED

· Hold a valid Class A CDL, current medial certification card, and possess a clean driving record along with personal insurance.

· Must be at least 21 years old

· Able to work independently and lift up to 75 lbs.

· Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

· Excellent communication skills
