Job Description

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional level of nursing duties for patients served in the clinical areas noted below.

Qualifications

Education

• Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited program of nursing
  • Associate's degree in nursing
• Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Master's degree in nursing

Experience:

• Preferred
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in nursing

Required

• All Units:
  • Registered Nurse (RN), with Authorization to Practice in the State of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required with ninety (90) days of start date
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification required within six (6) months of start date
  • Breastfeeding Education:
    • Texas 10 Step required within ninety (90) days of start date
    • Basic Breastfeeding Class required within one (1) year of start date
    • Advanced Breastfeeding Class required within one (2) year of start date

• NICU (in addition to the above)
  • STABLE Certification required within one (1) year of start date
