We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven Assistant Director to help lead the day-to-day operations of the Cancer Center while supporting continued growth, quality, and operational excellence.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Director of Operations, clinical leadership, physicians, and staff to oversee administrative and operational functions while ensuring the Cancer Center remains a safe, welcoming, and patient-centered environment. A Typical Day
As the Assistant Director, you’ll partner with Cancer Center leadership to oversee daily operations and ensure teams have the resources, direction, and support needed to deliver exceptional care. Your responsibilities may include:
- Managing day-to-day Cancer Center operations in collaboration with the Director of Operations and other leadership partners
- Providing leadership and oversight to administrative and operational teams across the Cancer Center
- Managing employee performance, including coaching, feedback, recognition, corrective action, and professional development
- Evaluating workflows and implementing improvements that strengthen efficiency, quality, and the patient experience
- Allocating staff and resources based on operational needs, patient volumes, and departmental priorities
- Monitoring departmental budgets, identifying variances, and proactively managing resources within established financial guidelines
- Partnering with leadership to establish goals, priorities, and operational plans for assigned areas
- Supporting regulatory and accreditation requirements, including coordination of applicable licenses and certifications
- Promoting effective communication and collaboration among physicians, clinical teams, administrative staff, and leadership
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Assisting the Director of Operations with Cancer Center initiatives, projects, and operational priorities as needed

To Be Considered
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline
- Two (2) years of previous management experience
- Previous experience within a healthcare or patient-care setting
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and developing employees
- Ability to effectively manage staffing, workflows, resources, and competing operational priorities
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage departmental resources and work within established budgetary guidelines
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts, provide constructive feedback, and maintain positive working relationships
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete assignments accurately and within established timelines
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, clinical teams, administrative staff, and senior leadership
