Greenleaf Pet Resort is a Digs Dog Care location. You may know us locally as Greenleaf, and Digs is our parent company. When you see “Digs” in this posting, it means us. You get a close-knit local team backed by the support and benefits of a national company.

Digs is a premium dog care company offering DayPlay (daycare), Overnight Stays (boarding), Grooming, and Training across multiple locations nationwide. We’re built on a simple belief: every pup deserves to feel safe, loved, and at home, and every team member plays a real role in making that happen. Our shared ownership program means employees don’t just work here, they have a stake in it.

  • As a Canine Caretaker, you take care of our overnight guests. You’ll walk and feed dogs, keep their suites clean and safe, and keep careful notes on how each dog is eating, going to the bathroom, and feeling. You’ll also greet clients briefly when their dogs check in and out. If you love dogs and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, you’ll fit right in with our care team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals following each owner’s instructions
  • Record feeding, bathroom, and health notes accurately
  • Follow individual pet schedules, including housebreaking puppies and dogs with medical needs
  • Clean and sanitize pet suites and facility areas
  • Remove pet waste following company guidelines
  • Handle daily housekeeping such as garbage, dishes, and laundry
  • Check dogs in and out, greeting clients in a friendly way
  • Complete check-in and check-out exams
  • Pitch in with other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 16 years or older
  • Experience with dogs is a plus but not required. We’ll train you.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills for following instructions and keeping records
  • Pays close attention to dogs, including signs like growling or whining
  • Communicates clearly with coworkers, managers, and clients
  • Organized and finishes tasks on time
  • Available for at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and bend, kneel, and squat
  • Comfortable in a noisy setting (lots of barking!)

What to Expect When Applying

  • Phone screening regarding your application.
  • An in-person interview to meet the team, tour the location, and get a glimpse of what your day-to-day will be like.
  • Orientation and training classes covering company policies, procedures, dog body language, and behavior.

Growth Path

Our care team learns dog handling, behavior, and daily care from the ground up. Strong performers can grow into roles such as Team Lead, Daycare Attendant, Supervisor, or full-time positions.
