Job Summary: Credit Assistant will provide credit support services to the Credit Analyst, including the process of credit applications in accordance with company policy and procedures, data entry, and credit inquiries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process all incoming company credit applications, consists of sending out and calling on bank and industry references along with compiling any information from online searches, trade organizations and credit reporting agencies.
  • Setup of new accounts and update account information as needed in company computer systems
  • Pulling and creating reports and be able to analyze the report data as the situation requires
  • Assist with A/R updates on accounts for credit meetings
  • Complete outside credit information request inquiries
  • Scan and digitally file credit information
  • Backup for some corporate functions along with some financial functions
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive, self-motivated individual with organization, and communication skills; strong customer service commitment

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting, use of computer, communication via telephone
  • Ability to navigate an office environment.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in office or site location.
  • Job may require occasional travel within the United States.
