Senior Analyst, Workforce Strategy & Analytics

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analyst, Workforce Strategy & Analytics based in United States.

This is a strategic analytics role focused on improving workforce planning, staffing, and scheduling across a large, distributed childcare network.
You will turn workforce and operational data into insights that help leaders make smarter labor and staffing decisions.
The role combines advanced analysis, forecasting, workforce modeling, and business partnership to improve operational and financial performance.
You will collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Your work will directly influence labor allocation, productivity, scheduling practices, and cost management across multiple brands and locations.
You will also help strengthen workforce management processes, tools, reporting, and decision-making capabilities.
This is a fully remote opportunity with occasional travel of up to 10%.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct advanced analysis of workforce and labor data, including staffing patterns, center-level labor performance, employee trends, productivity, and labor cost drivers, to identify risks and actionable opportunities.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain forecasting models and staffing plans using historical performance, demand trends, operational data, and business projections to optimize labor allocation.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, HR, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate scheduling practices, staffing strategies, and labor deployment.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations and strategic initiatives that improve labor efficiency, operational effectiveness, workforce productivity, and cost management.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate workforce performance, trends, forecasts, and insights clearly to stakeholders and operational leaders.
  • Own key workforce management processes, including establishing center-level labor-hour targets and managing scheduling systems and tools that provide labor guidance to field leadership.
  • Develop and improve workforce models, labor standards, productivity metrics, and analytical methodologies to support scalable workforce strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce management processes and tools through data-driven analysis and continuous optimization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in workforce analytics, labor planning, or a related analytical discipline, including forecasting, data analysis, and staffing model development.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, forecasting techniques, and translating quantitative findings into business recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience using SQL, Python, R, or comparable analytical technologies.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI and the ability to build dashboards and reporting solutions for operational leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience developing workforce forecasts, staffing models, labor standards, and productivity metrics.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect analytical insights to practical operational and financial strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with workforce management systems is valuable, particularly Legion; familiarity with Kronos/UKG, Workday, or Zebra/Reflexis is also beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
