Cleaner – Temporary, NY in New York, New York at GUARDIAN SERVICE INDUSTRIES

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and orderly condition of the facility. This position performs a variety of general and heavy cleaning duties throughout the main building, including floor care, restroom cleaning, carpet care, waste removal, and cleaning of offices and common areas.

The Cleaner will also identify and report maintenance or equipment issues to management and ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in clean and working condition.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the facility.
• Sweep, mop, polish, and refinish resilient flooring using appropriate floor-care equipment. Experience operating floor-care equipment is required.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpeted areas.
• Clean and maintain hallways, offices, boardrooms, restrooms, pantries, cafeterias, and other assigned areas.
• Wash walls and clean upholstered furniture and window coverings as directed.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restroom facilities.
• Clean offices, cubicles, and common areas.
• Empty garbage and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste in designated dumpsters.
• Empty and maintain paper shredders.
• Spot-clean interior glass and other surfaces as needed.
• Keep all cleaning equipment and supplies clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Report equipment problems, building issues, safety concerns, or other faults to the supervisor promptly.
• Participate in all required training and follow applicable procedures.
• Follow all company and client Health and Safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform additional cleaning and facility-related duties as assigned from time to time.
