Senior Data Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Analyst based in India.

In this role, you will play a key part in transforming complex healthcare and oncology datasets into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across life sciences and pharmaceutical clients. You will work at the intersection of data analytics, patient journey mapping, and healthcare evidence generation, with a strong focus on line-of-therapy (LoT) analysis and real-world evidence (RWE). The role involves working with large structured claims datasets to uncover treatment patterns, costs, and outcomes across multiple therapy areas, particularly oncology. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including HEOR, market access, and strategy stakeholders to translate analytical outputs into clear business recommendations. This is a highly client-facing and impact-driven role where storytelling, precision, and analytical depth are equally important. You will also contribute to building scalable data workflows, dashboards, and automation solutions in a fast-paced, global environment.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead end-to-end analytics initiatives focused on healthcare data, ensuring high-quality insights that directly support client strategy and decision-making.

  • Lead analytics projects focused on oncology patient journeys, line-of-therapy mapping, and brand performance analysis
  • Work with large structured healthcare datasets such as IQVIA, DRG, McKesson, and Symphony claims data
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify treatment patterns, utilization trends, and patient pathways
  • Support HEOR and HCRU studies including cost-of-illness, prevalence, incidence, and disease burden analyses
  • Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and data pipelines while leveraging Python and Excel for automation and analysis
  • Develop clear and compelling client-facing dashboards, reports, and presentations using PowerPoint and visualization tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HEOR, market access, and engineering to define requirements and deliver insights
  • Ensure strong data governance, documentation, and reproducibility across all analytical work
  • Independently manage projects, communicate progress effectively, and deliver within defined timelines
Requirements:

This role requires strong analytical expertise in healthcare or life sciences data environments, combined with technical proficiency and strong communication skills.

  • 5+ years of overall experience with at least 3+ years in data analytics or healthcare analytics roles
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields
  • Strong hands-on experience working with structured healthcare datasets such as IQVIA, DRG, McKesson, or Symphony claims
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience in pharma, life sciences consulting, or healthcare analytics environments
  • Understanding of real-world evidence (RWE) sources such as EHR/EMR and CMS datasets
  • Knowledge of line-of-therapy frameworks, treatment guidelines, and healthcare market access concepts
  • Strong data interpretation and storytelling skills with the ability to translate analysis into business insights
  • Experience working with global teams and multi-geography datasets
  • Familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and industry benchmarks
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact oncology and life sciences analytics projects
  • Exposure to global clients and large-scale healthcare datasets
  • Flexible work arrangements including remote-friendly collaboration
  • Learning and development opportunities in advanced analytics and healthcare domains
  • Collaborative, global work environment with cross-functional exposure
  • Career growth opportunities within a rapidly evolving data and analytics function.
