There is an inherent weakness in residential treatment programs in that they want to keep their best staff around so they promote them into administrative positions. In doing so they are promoted out of the spot where they are doing their best work and making the most impact. At Havenwood we want to provide a career path for a team of professional staff who are kept in a spot where their talent, skill, and experience make an impact unencumbered by administrative duties.

We expect that our Hedgehogs will have a combination of talent, skill, and experience to be a flagbearer for what an ideal mentor is to be in our industry. They will embody the Havenwood core values and stand as an example of what a secure attachment figure is. They are an ideal team player. Humility is a required strength for a Hedgehog. They are also hungry and smart. They are the kind of person to constantly ask if they are “in the box” (Leadership and Self Deception). They are the kind of person that has an attitude that they are able to work with anyone. They are eager to seek out new students and new employees to build connections and relationships. Our Hedgehogs are impeccable with their word, don't take anything personally, don't make assumptions, and always do their best.

Hedgehogs will work a schedule that allows them to support the milieu with strong leadership during times that it traditionally lacks administrative leadership. This will include evenings and at least one day on the weekend. They will also have time set aside for sharpening their own skills and the skills of others. Hedgehogs will report to the Assistant Program Director.

Drivers:

• Weekly 1:1s with each guest in assigned home; session documented with notes (minimum 15 minutes).
• Documented weekly 1:1 with each assigned team lead (minimum 15 minutes)
• Minimum of 32 hours of schedule in-house-time each week.
• 100% of common areas and student rooms pass weekly quality checks (cleanliness, functionality, safety) with a score of 90% or better.
• Students engage in 4+ hours on weekdays and 10+ on weekends of intentional groups

• Consistently facilitates and promotes positive team culture with their team
• Extreme own the end-point care delivery. If a staff member is not delivering care at our expectation, that is this individuals responsibility
