This highly specialized technical role operates at the intersection of advanced cybersecurity architecture, federal compliance, and mission-critical enterprise transformation. You will serve as a trusted technical authority on Zero Trust, SASE, and SSE frameworks, guiding federal customers through complex security modernization initiatives. The position requires deep engagement with agency CISOs, architects, and engineering teams to design and validate secure, scalable infrastructures. You will play a key role in shaping solutions aligned with strict federal mandates while ensuring operational success in highly regulated environments. Acting as both advisor and technical leader, you will influence strategic pursuits and high-value federal programs. The role also includes mentoring engineering teams and serving as a force multiplier across field organizations. - Serve as the principal technical authority for SASE, SSE, and Zero Trust architectures within federal and DoD-focused engagements.
- Design, validate, and guide implementation of secure architectures aligned with NIST SP 800-207, EO 14028, RMF, and related federal frameworks.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with agency security and infrastructure stakeholders.
- Oversee the design and execution of proof-of-concepts and advanced technical demonstrations for complex federal environments.
- Support federal sales pursuits by contributing to RFI/RFP responses and ensuring strong technical alignment and differentiation.
- Guide customers through ATO processes, STIG compliance, and secure deployment in IL5/IL6 environments.
- Integrate security telemetry with enterprise SIEM, SOAR, and XDR platforms to enhance visibility and response capabilities.
- Provide field feedback to engineering and product teams to influence roadmap direction based on federal requirements.
- Act as a technical mentor and advisor to systems engineers across the organization.
- Maintain flexibility to support mission-critical engagements across accounts and regions as needed.
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or cybersecurity technical leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in SASE, SSE, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) design and implementation.
- Deep understanding of federal compliance frameworks including RMF, NIST SP 800-207, STIG, FedRAMP, and OMB M-22-09.
- Experience supporting DoD, federal civilian agencies, or highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking and security protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, IPSec, TLS, and firewall architectures.
- Familiarity with identity and access management frameworks (SSO, SAML, OAuth, ICAM).
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in hybrid enterprise architectures.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; advanced certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, etc.) preferred.
- Active security clearance is a plus but not required.
