Logistics Technician I in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs various duties in relation to the receiving, staging, shipping and delivery of supplies and equipment throughout University Health System. Follows prescribed standard operating policies and procedures for the receipt, tracking, asset tagging and safeguarding of University Health System property until delivery confirmation to the appropriate responsibility center occurs. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. One year of college or commercial school courses related to supply chain management or materials management is preferred. Six months to one year in inventory control, receiving, delivering, and movement of supplies and equipment is required. One to two years of materials management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. Computer data entry wireless devices and materials management information system experience is preferred.
