Job Description
Position Overview:
Prepare schedule to establish maintenance needs while considering up time of each operation to meet manufacturing requirements and efficiency. Manage and Analyze maintenance data from CMMS System. Assist, Train, Troubleshoot, and Perform tasks to ensure equipment is performing efficiently and effectively.
Specific Responsibilities:
Specific primary responsibilities are defined by the following, but those listed are not all-inclusive
Establish and monitor predictive maintenance programs
- Supervise Maintenance Technicians
- Review / Assist in analysis of deficiencies during corrective maintenance
- Provide technical guidance and corrective action as needed for equipment maintenance
- Plan and prepare maintenance schedules for preventive and corrective maintenance actions
- Analyze maintenance requirements, adjust PMs for volume levels, and understand timing and manpower requirements needed
- Performs mathematical analysis to monitor individual and equipment performance trends to optimize maintenance strategies.
- Plans and schedules maintenance, materials, and outside contractors for each department and operation according to previously established or recently agreed upon maintenance times.
- Oversees/Audit execution of PM, Corrective, and Emergency Maintenance.
- Meet with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects, and coordinate with operations.
- Prepares maintenance reports.
- Required to lead and participate in continuous improvement to improve uptime
- Makes cost-effective benefit review of maintenance programs and upgrades
- Manage MRO Inventory through CMMS
- Other tasks or duties as assigned.

Safety:
- Ensures compliance of plant-wide programs including, but not limited to:
o Mobile equipment
o Crane safety
o Arc flash (70E)
o Fire protection and safety
- Ensures personal compliance with safety policies and rules, including PPE requirements
- Ensures personal compliance with applicable regulatory standards (safety,environmental, health), reporting any issues not immediately resolvable to appropriate manager
- Participates in incident and/or accident investigations as requested
Education and Experience:
Minimum High School diploma required
Ten-years+ experience in an industrial environment
Experience in maintenance planning in a steel industry
Strong computer skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Leadership skills
Ability to manage and lead change
PLC Code Troubleshooting and Creation
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Ability to safely move around a heavy industrial plant environment up to 12 hours per day
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours as required, and maintain job performance standards
Environmental:
· Ensures continuation and improvement of compliance with plant-wide programs for all required environmental requirements.
