Job Description

The Project Manager position is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the execution of projects from start to finish. This includes developing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong understanding of project management principles.

Essential Functions

• Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets to track progress and ensure resource availability.
• Coordinate with team members, vendors, and customers to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
• Work with graphic and structural designers to complete production drawings and other documents to be used to complete finished parts.
• Organize with manufacturers to ensure they deliver appropriate quality of product to meet the project demands in a timely fashion.
• Work closely with Sales team to develop customer strategy.
• Conduct regular status meetings and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes as they arise.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and issue logs.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards and are completed to customer satisfaction.
• Continuously evaluate project performance and implement process improvements as needed.
• Manage customer orders and translate into a forecast that will be used for production scheduling.
• Work closely with operations team to ensure customer demand requirements are being met.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 800 a.m. to 4:30pm
(Subject to change based on business demands)

Travel
None to episodic travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience
• Minimum of five years’ experience with project management for company of comparable size or equivalent experience, preferably in manufacturing, job shop environment.
• Associate degree in business administration, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret job estimates and reports.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, gross margin, mark-up, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, Corel Draw, 3D modeling software or similar platforms is a plus.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formatting, pivot tables, formulas, and functions), programs and applications.
• Understanding of ERP systems is a plus.
• Experience managing relationships with major manufacturers.
