If you like to start early and be done by mid-afternoon, this part-time Direct Support Professional opening in Bloomfield is built for you. Shifts run 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on two or three days a week, so your afternoons and evenings stay free for family, school, or a second job. You'll support adults with disabilities in a home setting, helping each person start the day well.

Shifts available

• Week 1: Monday and Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., about 18 hours

• Week 2: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., about 27 hours

• The two-week pattern repeats

What you'll do

• Support morning routines, meals, and personal care

• Help with household tasks, errands, and activities

• Keep clear, accurate notes for every shift

What you'll bring

• Early-morning reliability and a caring, patient approach

• The ability to pass background checks

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license

Pay: $13 to $16 per hour.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent; experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Must possess bask knowledge of computers and computer-based programs.
• Satisfactory results on background checks pertaining to criminal and abuse registries.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.
• Successfully complete all new hire orientation checklist.
• Satisfactory attend all required trainings by agency.
• Successfully complete the established medication administration training and observe pass medications accordingly.
• Must have access to a telephone.
• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance as required by the State of Iowa and be insurable under the company’s insurance.
