We are looking for a Machining Supervisor who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and driving operational excellence. This role serves as the central point of leadership for daily machine shop operations and helps ensure production, quality, safety, and continuous improvement goals are achieved.

What You'll DoLeadership Responsibilities• Lead and supervise employees within the machining department
• Assign work and coordinate daily production activities to support operational goals
• Coach, train, and develop team members
• Conduct interviews, onboard new employees, and support employee development
• Provide performance feedback and complete employee evaluations
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment
• Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and ethical conduct
• Execute production schedules and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time
• Track production activity and maintain required reports and documentation
• Adjust staffing levels and overtime requirements to meet changing business demands
• Identify and resolve production issues as they arise
• Make day-to-day operational decisions with limited direction
• Recommend and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and product quality
• Quickly identify and resolve quality concerns
• Partner with Maintenance to support equipment repairs and uptime
• Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams on new products and process improvements
• Support Lean initiatives including kaizens and continuous improvement activities
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a production environment preferred, or 5 years of progressively responsible team leadership experience
• Experience coordinating workflows across multiple functions or departments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret operating procedures, work instructions, and safety documentation
• Ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively with employees and leadership
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems (Oracle experience preferred)
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred

This position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, noise, and varying temperatures. Required PPE may include safety glasses, hearing protection, and other required safety equipment.
Physical RequirementsEmployees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees regularly use hands and arms for equipment, tools, and materials and may occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
