About the role

As Sr. Software Architect , you will serve as the technical bridge between Q4 Platform architecture and the Virtua technical stack, ensuring architectural coherence as both systems converge. Reporting to the NA Foundation Leader, you'll be embedded in the NA Foundation team's strategy while being physically located in India translating architectural direction into actionable guidance for India-based development teams.

This role is equal parts strategic architecture and hands-on technical leadership. You'll drive the architectural decisions that determine how Virtua capabilities migrate to (or integrate with) the Q4 Platform, while growing the technical maturity of India-based leads and developers.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain a deep working knowledge of both the Q4 Platform and Virtua technical stacks become the go-to person who understands how both systems work and where they intersect.
• Define the technical migration and integration strategy for moving Virtua capabilities onto the Q4 Platform, including identifying what to migrate, what to sunset, and what to re-architect.
• Participate in the NA Foundation team's architecture reviews and planning sessions, representing India team capabilities and constraints.
• Collect, understand, and manage the business context and requirements for architecture projects.
• Communicate architecture decisions to stakeholders across both geographies.
• Maintain, optimize, and improve the architecture process. Map company strategic priorities to architectural decisions.
• Ensure that architecture designs and decisions are well documented. Create and maintain architecture decision records that are accessible and understood by both NA and India teams.
• Ensure the development roadmap includes required architecture changes. Ensure the architecture backlog captures all business and stakeholder requirements.
• Identify and prioritize technical debt across both stacks, with a focus on items that block convergence toward the unified Q4 Platform.
• Mentor and develop senior developers and tech leads in India, building local architectural capability so decisions don't bottleneck through a single person.
• Establish architecture review processes for India teams that are consistent with NA Foundation standards.
• Commute distance to Pune for a hybrid office experience

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing commercial software products, with at least 3 years in an architecture or principal engineer role.
• Direct experience with platform migration or multi-system integration
• 3+ years of cloud development experience (AWS) with hands-on experience designing highly available, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices patterns, event-driven architecture, and system integration strategies.
• Experience working with both legacy monolithic systems and modern cloud-native platforms comfort navigating the transition between the two.
• Ability to communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences across geographies.
• Experience working within or closely alongside a Foundation/Platform team in a multi-product organization.
