Job Description
Sometimes, it takes getting everyone around the same table to realize something has changed.
The holidays often bring families together—and sometimes that extra time with an aging parent or loved one leads to difficult questions.
Mom seems more forgetful than she used to be.
Dad is having a harder time getting around.
We're worried. What do we do next?
That's where our Senior Living Advocates come in.
At Catalyst Senior Living Solutions, Advocates talk with seniors and their families who are beginning to explore senior living options. You'll listen to their concerns, ask thoughtful questions, learn about their needs and circumstances, and help guide them toward options that may be a good fit.
This is a phone-based role, but it isn't simply about answering calls. You'll often speak with people who are overwhelmed, uncertain, or navigating a decision they never expected to make. Your ability to listen, build trust, stay organized, and help someone determine the next step can make a meaningful difference.
What you'll do
- Speak with seniors and family members by phone to understand their needs, preferences, and circumstances
- Ask thoughtful questions and gather the information needed to help identify appropriate senior living options
- Build rapport and provide a compassionate, professional experience throughout the conversation
- Manage multiple families and follow-up activities while maintaining accurate documentation
- Communicate consistently and follow through on next steps
- Work collaboratively with the Catalyst team to help families navigate the senior living search process
- Learn about senior living options and resources so you can become a knowledgeable resource for the families you serve
You may be a great Advocate if you are:
- A genuinely good listener
- Empathetic and comfortable talking with people during emotional or uncertain situations
- Curious and willing to ask questions rather than make assumptions
- Warm, personable, and able to build trust over the phone
- Organized and comfortable managing multiple conversations and follow-up activities
- Confident using technology and documenting information accurately
- Flexible and able to adapt as situations and priorities change
- Motivated by helping people and doing work that has purpose
Healthcare, senior living, customer service, sales, hospitality, social services, or other relationship-focused experience can all provide a strong foundation for this role. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, listen well, learn, and genuinely care about helping families.
Why this work mattersFamilies don't always know where to begin when an aging loved one's needs start to change. Sometimes the most valuable thing we can provide is a knowledgeable, compassionate person on the other end of the phone who will listen and help them find their way forward.
If you're someone people naturally turn to when they need help figuring things out, you may already have an Advocate's heart.
We'd love to hear from you.
