Registered Nurse - Medical Oncology/Hematology - Program in Brockton, Massachusetts at Signature Healthcare

Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing with current Massachusetts license and current BLS certification. Current or past Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN, AOCN, CPON) or currently working towards acquiring OCN certification strongly preferred. Five years of infusion RN experience in a medical oncology and hematology department required. Outpatient experience required. Responsible for clinical care, patient education, monitoring and follow-up on patients in both infusion and practice setting. The program nurse functions as the primary point of contact for care delivered within the physician practice setting. Assumes nursing care responsibilities including but not limited to assessment, education, coordination and documentation. This role works to ensure continuity of care for patients by collaborating with various areas of patient care both internally and outside of the department. The position requires excellent communication skills and collaboration with physicians, co-workers and all internal & external departments and agencies involved to optimize patient care.
