Job Description

SFS is looking for a Functional Area Expert (Electronic Warfare Analyst) to provide support to CBL Battle Lab Facility located at Fort Gordon GA. All work will be performed onsite. This contract will support the CBL mission to provide experimentation support to the C- CDID with dynamic network experimentation integrated with CO, DODIN-A, EW and IA through the Cyber Battle Lab’s Experimentation Branch (EB), Environments Support Branch (ESB), and the Army Persistent Experimentation eNvironment (APEN) Cyber Enterprise Service Center (CESC). The CBL Experimentation Support contract will provide support in the form of experiments, assessments, analyses and network support that will validate proposed new technical solutions to resolve known Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership & Education, Personnel, Facilities Policy (DOTMLPF-P) capability gaps within the CO, EW, Network, and IA force modernization lines of effort. This position is contingent on contract award.
Position Summary
The Functional Area Expert (FAE) Electronic Warfare Analyst serves as a senior subject matter expert responsible for analyzing, assessing, and advising on electronic warfare capabilities, electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO), threat systems, and mission effectiveness. The role supports operational planning, capability development, test and evaluation, intelligence analysis, and acquisition programs related to electronic attack (EA), electronic protection (EP), and electronic support (ES).
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the principal advisor on electronic warfare and electromagnetic spectrum operations.
  • Analyze adversary electromagnetic threats, radar systems, communications networks, and electronic attack capabilities.
  • Conduct EW mission analysis, operational assessments, and capability evaluations.
  • Support planning and execution of electronic warfare exercises, experiments, and operational missions.
  • Assess system survivability, spectrum utilization, and mission effectiveness in contested environments.
  • Develop threat models, mission scenarios, and analytical products.
  • Support requirements development, acquisition programs, and modernization initiatives.
  • Evaluate electronic warfare systems, sensors, and countermeasure effectiveness.
  • Prepare technical reports, intelligence assessments, and executive briefings.
  • Advise leadership on emerging EW technologies, spectrum challenges, and operational risks.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Intelligence Studies, or a related technical discipline.
  • Typically 10–15+ years of experience in electronic warfare, signals intelligence, spectrum operations, radar analysis, or defense systems engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO)
    • Radar and RF systems
    • Electronic Attack (EA)
    • Electronic Protection (EP)
    • Electronic Support (ES)
    • Threat systems and signal analysis
  • Excellent analytical, briefing, and technical writing skills.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or aerospace programs.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO)
    • Spectrum management
    • Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)
    • Cyber-electromagnetic activities (CEMA)
    • Integrated air and missile defense systems
  • Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI security clearance.

  • Support acquisition strategies and technology transition activities.
  • Coordinate across intelligence, cyber, spectrum, and operational communities.
