Job Description

Client Service Representative | $18-$27/hr

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Full-Time | Three 12-Hour Shifts | Friday-Sunday | 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Compensation: $18-$27/hour based on experience + $4.50/hour shift differential after 6:00 PM and on weekends

Nashville Veterinary Specialists & Animal Emergency (NVS) is seeking a full-time Client Service Representative to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. This opportunity is ideal for an animal lover with strong customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment while supporting clients, patients, and medical teams.

Compensation

  • $18-$27/hour based on experience

  • $4.50/hour shift differential available after 6:00 PM and on weekends

Schedule

  • Full-Time

  • Three 12-hour shifts

  • Friday-Sunday

  • 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

  • Two holidays per year required

  • Weekend anesthesia on-call and specialty weekend sign-up participation required after training

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients, assist with paperwork, and provide guidance throughout their visit.

  • Provide exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and through email communication.

  • Manage administrative tasks including data entry, appointment scheduling, and medical record updates.

  • Maintain accurate client and patient information.

  • Support hospital communication by managing faxes, emails, and incoming requests.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby environment.

  • Manage financial processes including maintaining the cash drawer and assisting with client transactions.

  • Address client questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.

  • Collaborate with veterinary team members to support efficient hospital operations.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve client and patient experiences.

  • Assist with on-call duties after successful completion of training.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience required; veterinary or medical reception experience preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, teammates, and medical staff

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

  • Positive, team-focused attitude with the ability to adapt to changing hospital needs

  • Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging client interactions

  • Flexibility to work beyond scheduled hours when necessary

  • Ability to participate in weekend anesthesia on-call and specialty weekend scheduling requirements

  • Passion for providing excellent service to pets, clients, and veterinary teams

  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
