CERTIFIED RECOVERY SUPPORT SPECIALIST (CRSS) - Greenwood Care, Evanston, IL

Greenwood Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Chicago, IL, has an Immediate Opening for a Full-Time Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS). $20 per hour. May Choose either a 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm Work Schedule.

~ Will be On Call Every Other Weekend ~

The Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) is a credential for those who provide mental health or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse recovery support to others.

A person with the CRSS credential uses unique insights gained through personal recovery experience.

Responsibilities of the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS):

• Provide peer-oriented individual and group counseling to help with wellness recovery plan
• May assist with recreational and leisure activities
• Responsible for fostering a safe, motivating and supportive environment
• Encourage and model the philosophy of recovery and empowerment through CRSS principals

of the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS):

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist) credential required
• Experience working with persons with psycho-social rehabilitation services, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and/or development disorders
• Tolerance and compassion for adults with psychiatric disorders
