ILS/SLS Trainer in LOS ANGELES, California at Giant Steps Training Programs

Our Independent Living/Supported Living Services Department is currently in need of a patient and reliable Trainer. This position provides life skills training, and independent living support to a male adult with developmental disabilities. Duties will include supervising and assisting client with shopping, money management, doctors' appointments, meal preparation and any other goals the individual is trying to achieve.

Must be available to work the following days/times:

Monday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Tuesday: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Thursday: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Saturday: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM

• Must be able to use applications on a Smart Phone for timekeeping and documenting purposes
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs
• Must be able to speak and understand basic English
• Successful completion of background screening with Department of Justice
• Successful completion of physical and TB test
• Must have valid Driver's License with 5 years of driving experience
• Must have reliable and insured own vehicle
• Must be patient and understanding
• Experience working with the developmentally disabled population (preferred)
