Job Description
Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Coach for our High School Soccer program. The Coach will lead and inspire student-athletes to achieve their full potential both on and off the field, while fostering a positive team culture and promoting sportsmanship. Must be able to obtain all necessary background checks, including FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse History Clearance, and a physical examination.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
-Lead aspects of the High School Soccer program, including planning, organizing, and implementing practices, games, and team events.
-Develop and communicate a clear vision and philosophy for the soccer program.
Player Development:
-Provide expert instruction and guidance to players in technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
-Foster a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement among student-athletes.
Game Strategy:
-Develop and implement effective game strategies and tactics to maximize team performance and success.
-Analyze opponents and adapt game plans accordingly.
Team Culture and Sportsmanship:
-Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
-Serve as a role model for student-athletes, demonstrating integrity, character, and leadership both on and off the field.
Player Recruitment and Development:
-Recruit and retain talented student-athletes to the soccer program.
-Provide mentorship and support to help players achieve their academic and athletic goals.
Communication and Collaboration:
-Communicate effectively with players, parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders.
-Collaborate with the athletics department and school leadership to ensure alignment with school values and goals.
Qualifications:
-Previous coaching experience at the high school level or above.
-Strong knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and techniques.
-Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
-Commitment to fostering the holistic development of student-athletes.
