Manufacturing Painter – 2nd Shift in New Baltimore, Michigan at ABPC Company LLC

Position Summary

Join our team as a 2nd shift painter, 3:00pm to 11:30pm, and play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality finished parts on time. As an Industrial Painter, you will apply paint and finishes to manufactured parts according to customer specifications and quality standards. This is a focused painting role - you will primarily operate the paint process rather than performing part preparation or masking. You’ll work in a production environment, follow process instructions, maintain quality, and help keep production on schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Apply paint and finishes to parts according to work orders, process instructions, and quality standardsOperate paint equipment and tools as trainedMonitor paint application for coverage, consistency, and qualityInspect finished parts to ensure they meet customer and internal quality requirementsIdentify and report quality issues, equipment problems, or process concernsAccurately complete required production documentation and recordsFollow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaWork with supervisors and teammates to meet production goals and delivery schedulesParticipate in continuous improvement activities as neededPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferredPrevious industrial painting, production painting, or manufacturing finishing experience preferredAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityDependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learnAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment is a plus

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods during the shiftFrequent reaching and standing in place while paintingAbility to regularly lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 poundsWork in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, chemicals, and industrial equipmentRequired use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, and protective clothing as requiredAbility to work safely around production equipment

Schedule

Full-time, 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pmInitial training may take place on 1st Shift before transitioning to 2nd ShiftOvertime and schedule adjustments may be required based on production needs
