Job Description

Resident Monitor | DeCoach Recovery Centre | Cincinnati, OH

About Us:

At DeCoach Recovery, we provide comprehensive, compassionate care to people struggling with substance use disorders. Our evidence-based treatments and therapies are tailored to each client’s unique needs, with a focus on long-term recovery and lasting wellness.

Why This Role Matters

Some of the most important moments in recovery happen outside of a therapy session: a late-night conversation, a steady presence on a hard day, a safe place to land. As a Resident Monitor, you’re the person who makes those moments possible. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, helping clients overcome barriers and build momentum toward a healthier life. This is work that truly changes lives, and sometimes saves them.

What You’ll Do

  • Create a safe space: Provide a safe, secure, and structured environment where clients can focus on healing
  • Be a steady support: Serve as a non-clinical resource for clients by listening actively, answering everyday questions, and providing crisis intervention when needed
  • Keep things documented: Maintain accurate written records and give written or verbal reports on client activity and behavior
  • Lead groups and activities: Facilitate required groups and structured activities
  • Keep the house running: Handle facility maintenance needs or report issues to your Supervisor
  • Support the front office: Review client charts, answer phones, greet guests, and handle copying and filing
  • Get clients where they need to be: Transport clients to offsite meetings and activities as needed
  • Stay connected as a team: Take part in a 30-minute shift change, including verbal shift report and key handoff, plus monthly individual supervision and all required training
  • Pitch in: Perform other duties as requested

What You Bring

  • Age 21 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • An active Ohio driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • A commitment to client confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and co-workers
  • Reliable follow-through on documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Belief in our mission, vision, and values, and a desire to support a positive, pro-social, drug-free environment

What We Offer

We invest in our team because they’re the heart of what we do:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Yearly merit raises
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional development assistance
  • STAR-eligible facilities to support student loan forgiveness
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Company-sponsored life insurance
  • Real opportunities for advancement

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you’re compassionate, dependable, and want a job where you can see your impact, we’d love to meet you. Apply today and help us make long-term recovery possible for our community.
