Job Description
The Crew Flooring Specialist job consists of operating hand grinding, manual labor, joint fill and repair and decorative concrete. Must be able to operate small equipment and have a willingness to support team members on all aspects of scope of work, equipment/office and fleet maintenance.
Crew Flooring Specialist (T1) Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate professionally and effectively with crew members and other trades on site.
- Effective communication regarding issues or job site challenges with Crew Lead.
- Effectively follow floor plans and scope of work delegated by Crew Lead.
- Ensure you have clear direction of scope of work and maintain safety concerns.
- Ensure you have been outfitted with appropriate PPE for site location and scope of work.
- Inspect completed work for any potential quality risk.
- Ability to work with others on a crew to ensure quality, safety and project success.
- Ability to maintain productivity to meet the required project schedule.
- Ensure all equipment and material is stored neatly and orderly.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Ensure equipment usage and safety standards are being followed per OSHA guidelines.
- Operation of machines and equipment used in the concrete polishing process:
- Concrete Grinding, Polishing, Restoration and Repair
- Coating Applications
- Other duties to be assigned as directed by client, and or company.
Crew Flooring Specialist (T1) Core Competencies:
- Oral Communication
Speaks clearly in English & Spanish. Shows respect when addressing customers and site superiors.
- Written Communication
Writes clear and accurate job notes and emails. Flooring Specialist can read and interpret written information regarding scope of work, material & safety precautions.
- Planning and Organizing
Plans and organize work activities considering the nature of the job at hand. Focuses on Key priorities. Attention to detail, scope of work and safety!
- Technical & Training
Flooring Specialist is appropriately trained and/or certified and can effectively operate small production equipment and tooling to scope of work within the ACP Concrete division.
- Quality Control
Flooring Specialist demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness for their own work and monitors quality to ensure scope of work expectations are fully reached.
Crew Flooring Specialist (T1) Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid TX driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation
- Must be minimum 18 years of age.
- Read and speak some English.
- Must be Honest, Responsible, Trustworthy and Hard-working
- Must be able to pass background and pre-employment drug test.
Physical Demands:
- Requires strenuous physical work including heavy lifting, working on hands/knees, pushing, or pulling objects and working in certain dust conditions.
- Inside & outside work
- Heat and cold working conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
- 30-40 Hours per week depending on workload.
- Bi-Weekly pay cycle based on 4 week working week cycle.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends
- Nightshift
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Floor care: 1 year (Preferred)
- General Construction: 1 year (Required)
Language:
- English (Required)
- Spanish (Preferred)
