Certified Nurse Practitioner - Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at Neuromedical Center

THE NEUROMEDICAL CENTER is currently looking for a Certified Nurse Practitioner.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

• Responsible for directing patient care within the hospitals by performing various duties.
• Responsible for promptly following through with physicians’ orders, administering medications as ordered, following policies and procedures.
• Performing all other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or administration.
• Expected to use reasonable effort to maintain patient confidentiality by safeguarding the patient’s protected health information as outlined in the HIPPA regulations.
• Responsible for obtaining screening data prior to examination and documenting this information in the electronic medical record in accordance with NMC policy.
• Responsible for educating patients prior to procedures, obtaining screening information from the patients for the physician and relaying information between patient and provider when necessary.
• Responsible for adhering to the policies and procedures of credentialed hospitals when performing duties under the privileges established in that setting.

Monday - Friday work schedule.

Education: Masters

Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred

Current NP license in Louisiana Required
