Sr UX Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr UX Designer based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to design impactful digital experiences that support learners, educators, and modern educational environments.
The Senior UX Designer will lead user experience initiatives from concept through execution, creating intuitive and accessible solutions for complex products.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to transform user needs into meaningful experiences.
The position combines strategic thinking, user-centered design, and hands-on execution within a collaborative technology environment.
You will use research insights, design systems, and modern tools to improve usability, accessibility, and product effectiveness.

Accountabilities:

The Senior UX Designer will lead the creation of user-centered digital experiences by applying research, design principles, and collaboration throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.

  • Lead UX and product design initiatives from initial concepts through final implementation using modern design tools such as Figma.
  • Create intuitive, high-quality user experiences aligned with user needs, business goals, and technical requirements.
  • Apply accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, including WCAG compliance, across all experiences.
  • Conduct research, analyze user insights, and leverage data to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to define problems, explore solutions, and refine designs.
  • Participate in product discussions, design reviews, and brainstorming sessions to address complex challenges.
  • Present design concepts, decisions, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed design specifications.
  • Ensure consistency with established design systems, UX standards, and product patterns.
  • Use AI-powered tools responsibly to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and support innovative design processes.
  • Continuously improve product experiences by identifying opportunities for usability enhancements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced UX professional with a strong foundation in user-centered design, accessibility, and digital product development. They should have a strong portfolio demonstrating their ability to solve complex design challenges and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in UX design within collaborative product teams.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the full UX design process, including research, ideation, prototyping, and final execution.
  • Proficiency with Figma and modern UX design tools.
  • Experience designing accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and usability best practices.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design rationale and decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for creating meaningful digital experiences that solve real user problems.
