- Develop detailed piping design documentation using AutoCAD Plant 3D for heavy industrial facilities and complex engineering projects.
- Prepare accurate piping construction drawings based on engineering concepts, sketches, specifications, and project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
- Support multiple concurrent projects by coordinating design activities, schedules, deliverables, and technical requirements.
- Review project standards, specifications, and design criteria to produce compliant and high-quality documentation.
- Assist with field information gathering, including site assessments and documentation activities when required.
- Apply knowledge of piping systems, materials, industry standards, and coordinate systems to develop effective design solutions.
- Utilize tools such as AutoCAD Construction Cloud and Navisworks to support project workflows and improve design coordination.
- Participate in field activities when needed, including occasional work in elevated environments.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and project stakeholders to address design challenges and maintain project progress.
- 10+ years of professional experience in process piping design.
- Associate degree with a focus on industrial drafting, design, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Recent hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D is required.
- Experience with AutoCAD Construction Cloud (Forma), Navisworks, or similar design coordination tools is preferred.
- Strong understanding of piping design principles, construction documentation, material properties, industry standards, and specifications.
- Ability to interpret engineering concepts, sketches, and technical requirements into accurate design deliverables.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and design disciplines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with field data collection, laser scanning technologies, or industrial facility environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of specialized drafting, design, and engineering practices or related certifications is advantageous.
- Competitive annual salary range of $104,000 to $124,800, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
