Job Summary

The Vice President, Enterprise Brand & Communications provides strategic leadership for Roers Companies' enterprise brand, communications, reputation, and marketing governance efforts. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a consistent company brand, communications strategy, and messaging framework across all business lines while supporting the unique needs of key stakeholder groups. This role will serve as the senior leader responsible for ensuring that Corporate Marketing, Portfolio Marketing, Equity Marketing, Third-Party GC Sales/Business Development Marketing, and HR/Internal Communications operate with clear lanes, shared standards, and a consistent Roers Companies story.

The Vice President oversees internal and external communications, public relations, media relations, reputation management, executive communications, corporate digital channels, enterprise events, and brand standards. This leader works closely with business and functional leaders to align messaging, strengthen organizational communication, and ensure a consistent and cohesive representation of the Roers Companies brand.

Requirements:

Enterprise Brand Strategy & Governance

  • Own and evolve the Roers Companies enterprise brand strategy, messaging framework, brand architecture, tone, and visual identity with execution and day-to-day brand management led by Corporate Marketing leadership.
  • Establish and maintain brand standards, templates, approval processes, and governance tools across business lines.
  • Oversee corporate collateral, brand assets, photography standards, signage standards, merchandise standards, and digital asset governance through Corporate Marketing team leadership.
  • Ensure business-line marketing efforts align with the broader Roers Companies brand story while allowing appropriate audience-specific customization.
  • Partner with business leaders to define how Roers Companies shows up across resident, investor, employee, municipal, trade partner, client, and industry audiences.

Cross-Functional Marketing Integration

  • Serve as the EOS-style integrator for cross-functional marketing strategy and operating system across Corporate Marketing, Portfolio Marketing, Equity Marketing, Third-Party GC Sales/Business Development Marketing, HR/Internal Communications, and other business-line stakeholders.
  • Clarify decision rights, ownership, approval pathways, and escalation points across marketing and communications activities.
  • Facilitate alignment among teams when initiatives cross functional lines, such as sponsorships, events, PR opportunities, corporate campaigns, project milestones, trade shows, community events, and executive visibility.
  • Create and manage an enterprise marketing calendar that provides visibility into major campaigns, events, launches, awards, PR moments, investor activities, property milestones, and internal communication priorities.

Strategic Communications, PR & Reputation

  • Lead the company’s strategic communications approach, ensuring consistent, thoughtful, and timely messaging across internal and external audiences.
  • Own media relations, public relations strategy, press inquiries, public statements, and external message discipline.
  • Develop and maintain crisis communications protocols in partnership with Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership.
  • Lead reputation management strategy, including issues management, public-facing narratives, awards, recognition, and executive positioning.
  • Provide communications counsel to executive and senior leaders.
  • Ensure external communications are aligned with business strategy, legal considerations, employee impact, investor confidence, and brand reputation.
  • Partner with HR/Internal Communications on employee-facing messaging.

Corporate Website, Social Media & Digital Governance

  • Own corporate website strategy and governance, including site architecture, enterprise messaging, content standards, brand consistency, and update prioritization with day-to-day management led by Corporate Marketing Leadership.
  • Partner with Portfolio Marketing, Equity Marketing, HR, Construction/RGC, Development, and other teams on website content within their respective areas.
  • Oversee corporate social media strategy, governance, standards, and escalation protocols with execution managed by Corporate Marketing Leadership.
  • Ensure social media and digital content serve the appropriate audiences and reflect the enterprise brand.
  • Ensure digital channels are current, coordinated, and aligned with the company’s reputation and growth goals.

Enterprise Events & Sponsorship Strategy

  • Provide enterprise governance for corporate events, leadership events, trade partner events, groundbreakings, grand openings, industry events, and other brand-building experiences, while Corporate Marketing leadership continues to manage execution and logistics.
  • Partner with Equity Marketing on investor-facing events and sponsorships, ensuring appropriate alignment with the broader enterprise brand.
  • Establish event standards, planning disciplines, sponsorship guardrails, budget and staffing expectations, and approval processes.
  • Oversee the enterprise events function (including all-employee annual conference) and support the successful hiring, onboarding, and development of events talent, in coordination with Corporate Marketing leadership.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Enterprise Brand & Communications team including direct oversight of Corporate Marketing leadership.
  • Provide clear direction, prioritization, and decision-making support to team members responsible for brand, creative, digital, communications, events, sponsorships, and marketing operations.
  • Build team capacity, role clarity, and accountability in a function that is evolving with the company’s growth.
  • Create a culture of proactive partnership, responsiveness, strategic thinking, and high-quality execution.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in brand, marketing, communications, public relations, corporate communications, or integrated marketing leadership.
  • Experience leading marketing and communications in a multi-business-unit, decentralized, matrixed, or high-growth organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and govern enterprise brand strategy across multiple audiences and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong executive communications, strategic communications, PR, media relations, and crisis communications experience.
  • Experience leading events, sponsorships, corporate social media, website governance, and marketing operations preferred.
  • Experience working in real estate, construction, property management, financial services, investor relations, professional services, or another complex multi-stakeholder business preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, integrate cross-functional teams, and resolve ambiguous ownership issues.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and stabilize a growing team.
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate sensitive business, employee, investor, legal, and reputational issues.
  • Strong writing, messaging, and storytelling capabilities.
  • Familiarity with EOS or similar operating systems preferred.

Compensation and Benefits for Senior Vice President of Enterprise Brand & Communications:

Pay Range: $162,000 - $217,000.

Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
