Summary
Eastern Nephrology is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our clinical team in North Carolina. The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, working closely with medical providers to execute individualized care plans. This role involves direct patient care for adult and geriatric populations, along with documentation and clinical support activities in line with our established protocols and standards.
This position is designated as an on-site, patient-facing role. In-office presence is an essential function due to the need for real-time collaboration with providers, direct interaction with patients and caregivers, and secure handling of health data in compliance with HIPAA.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to participate in the assessment of patients; use critical thinking skills in response to events, observations, experiences, verbal and written communication, problem solving and decision making.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN, ASN, BSN); active RN license in good standing with the NC Board of Nursing, and 2 years experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrated understanding of medical practices and confidentiality standards.
- Communication & Teamwork: Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Word, Outlook, EMR, and Practice Management software.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment with a proactive approach to responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

- Patient Care: Develop and implement nursing care plans and provide professional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. 50%
- Perform Chronic Care Management activities and assist with patient intake.
- Obtain and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight.
- Review and document patient allergies, medications, and any over-the-counter drugs in the EMR system.
- Clinical Documentation: Accurately document patient interactions, changes in care interventions, and communication with external providers in the EMR. 40%
- Maintain medical records with updates on triage, referrals, and prescription refill requests.
- Supportive Care: Assist with patient inquiries, hospital calls, lab and test results, and prescription refills as needed. 10%
- ENA has determined that these duties cannot be effectively or securely executed in a remote environment without compromising patient care, data privacy, or operational standards.
Physical Demands
- Hearing, visual acuity, depth perception, balancing, handling, and talking.
- Reaching, grabbing, holding – fine motor skills.
- Extended periods in a stationary or standing position
- Repetitive motion such as entering data into computer-based programs.
- Lift or move up to twenty-five pounds. Employees are expected to use appropriate ergonomics and tools such as hand carts for heavier loads.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment. The noise level is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, or hear.
Work Schedule is Monday- Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with a one-hour lunch. Slight modifications may be made to this schedule with approval from manager.
