Packaging Team Lead
Reports To
Shift Supervospr
Position Summary
The Team Lead shall be responsible for leading the activities of specified staff on shift. Team Lead’s shall ensure that dedicated activities are followed and completed on time.
Core Competencies
Job Duties
- Consults with Production Manager and Production Supervisor(s) and QA to resolve production-related issues, worker problems, complaints and grievances;
- Ensures completion of dedicated tasks such as preparation, staging, in process and completion of quality control;
- Ensures completion of batch records and resolves batch record/form related issues;
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations;
- Direct and coordinate the scheduled activities of employees for dedicated processes
- Provide motivation for shift employees, increasing morale, and positive work environment
- Increase shift worker efficiency and production rates;
- Monitor employee performance and report outputs;
- Work with other Leads/Supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments;
- Demonstrate equipment operations, work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training;
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records / reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Production experience preferred
- Direct working knowledge of operations
- Able to maintain basic diary/minutes notation
- Knowledge of local regulations and ordinances
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Meticulous records maintenance skills
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Strong customer service orientation
- Diploma in a related field is an asset
- 1-2 years experience as a production lead is considered an asset
- First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets
Work Conditions
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime as required
- Production floor safety issues
